In case that you are sick and you can’t attend college,

  • You  must get a medical certificate from a registered doctor;
  • The certificate must provide the reason for your absence, the illness and the dates you were not able to attend college
  • You must take this certificate to the Student Services Officer (SSO) who will copy it and keep it in your student file.

The SSO will be contacting you if you are absent for 2 days in a row.

Students with low attendance will be required to provide a reason for their low attendance and will be counselled to see options how they can improve their attendance.

Your absence will be recorded in the Student Management System.

Your medical certificate may be taken into account if your attendance falls below 80%.

It is recommended to keep the original copy of any medical documentation in case the Government representative wishes to see it.
